My dogs love to sleep at morning, afternoon and evening, ahaha. Does it make a sense? Dogs love to take short sleeps anytime of the day. When my dogs woke up, they are very energetic and tends to play all around our house. After playing, they will eat their food and drink their water. After that, they sleep on their own beds, cute. Anywas, so much for that…ahihi
I want the best for my dogs and I am trying to provide them with all the things that they need. From grooming to treats that will make their tails wag forever, ahihi. I am also a dog owner who wishes that someday my dogs would be published on the papers as models or a pet product endorser, but I am just dreaming for it. I hope someday a dog talent agent can discover my lovely furballs. Aside from the dog modeling, I also wished before that I experience some modeling for the clothes, shoes, pants or any products. Well, when I was still young I was given an opportunity to be exposed more often because I was a performer before. I danced and danced and smiled and smiled. But, I think it’s not too late for all of us who dream to be a model. The Look of the year is looking for fresh looking people who has great talents in modeling, striking a pose and a lot more. It’s our chance to be discovered and to shine!

The Usual Suspects
Too little fiber. Dietary fiber, the indigestible, healthful stuff found in vegetables, cereals, and legumes, has been called nature’s scrub rush because it helps stools move more quickly through the body. Most commercial dog foods contain a lot of cereals which are very high in fiber. Dogs who mainly eat meat, however. may not be getting enough fiber to stay regularly.
Not enough water. The stools absorb large amounts of water in the digestive tract, and as they swell, they stimulate the intestines, Dogs who don’t drink much water because it’s not available or because their thirst mechanisms aren’t as sensitive as they should be often get constipated because the stools are too hard and small to stimulate intestinal movements.
Lack of exercise. The large intestine is a muscle, and like any muscle it needs regular exercise to work efficiently.
Overweight. Dogs who are a little pudgy are more likely to get constipated because fat deposits in the abdomen can interfere with the intestines’ normal movements. Overweight dogs also tend to get less exercise, and this makes the intestines work less efficiently.
Eating trash. Dogs who sanck on garbage are more likely to get diarrhea than constipation, except when they eat cardboard, paper, or plastic, which can partially block the digestive tract and make it harder for stools to get through.
I am now looking for ways to earn online because I might not work this coming June anymore. I have pending applications abroad and it’s kinda’ difficult if I will have a commitment or contract on a certain company. Aside from that, I will also concentrate on my Masters which will end early next year (hopefully).
Anyways, so what happen on my online job hunting..I browsed for a lot of keywords that will lead to online earning work. Two of the keywords that I used that shows lots of information are about blog advertising and blog for pay. I was able to know about Bloggers Review and it made me so interested. What do they do? Bloggers should register their blogs and once the Bloggers Review approved their blogs they can now start to write and post entries that they love and while doing it, they are also paid by the advertisers with the help of the said affiliate program. I am loving Bloggers Review so much and they are the answer to my online job hunting!

The reward method is one the oldest form of training a dog I believe. Most probably, this form of dog training may have started from early days of dog training. Many reward-training enthusiasts are not that approved about other forms of dog training, such as the leash and collar method. However, the best approach to training any individual dog is often a combination of both methods.
We must bear in mind that there is no one method that is suitable to all dogs or breeds. You must be alert to watch, how you dog respond to the various types of trainings. Some dogs respond wonderfully to reward training and they may not be encouraging at all, to leash and collar training, while others respond to leash/collar training woderfully and are not at all motivated by reward training.
Most reward training uses some sort of food reward, or a reward that is associated with getting food. Usually, teaching complex behaviors can be easily overcome using this kind of positive reinforcement, and you will find that the people who train dogs for movies and television use reward training almost exclusively.

If you would like to find great rewards not
only for your pup but also for you, try out PetGadgets.com - Innovative Pet Products. They offer a wide variety of ingeneous and high-tech pet products that’s sure to make yours and your pet’s life much more enojoyable and fun. Their products can be great to pamper that sweet little pooch or make it more convenient to walk them in parks and streets. Their products can also serve as great gifts for your co-pet-lovers.
To enforce positive reinforcement, it is wise to reward your dog with a teat. After the dog has performed what you instructed the dog to do, giving a reward is encouraged. Giving reward or treat is a method adopted by many dog trainers and praise, such as good dog or a pat on the head, can also be an effective rewards.
There are times that the though of starting a business of dog products come across my mind. As I observed and as a dog lover myself, people around my city are getting more and more interested in having dogs. There seem to be a hype on having dogs with breeds a few years back. Plenty came from different countries and cities around the country. Before, only mongrels tread the streets. Now, plenty – from Pit bulls to Dobermans to Shih-Tzu’s are walked by their owners either around the village or walking from the vet from check-up.
I think there is already a market here. It can be good to begin in trade show exhibits or country fares to jump start the business. You can have a specialty store wherein you would introduce your name and display a few good and interesting products, ones that are not readily available in pet shops and groceries. One company who can help you set up is Camelback Displays. Their product ranges from banner stands to tablecloths and table covers, really really helpful for a good head start.
After making a good business plan and a little feasibility study, I hope to get the funds I can get to start it. I would have to save for it for now.
Within a few days from this post, I will be going on a vacation. It will be an all-girl summer fun getaway - getting away from all the stress brought about by our masteral classes as well as the very demanding work. Pretty soon, I’ll be missing again, most importantly, these smelly snouts that sleep with me and my mom at night. Everytime I get ready for a trip, I look at them and wish I could bring them with me everytime.
Maybe soon, I would have the chance to bring them around. It’s really way much better
to travel with someone because you get to experience the place with someone else. If ever I get the chance again to visit other countries like Dubai or Spain or the United States, I really wouldn’t mind if I share the experience with my two pups. A stay in beautiful and Cheap Madrid Hotels, on those Cheap Costa Del Sol Hotels or those Cheap Hotels in Barcelona would be very much of a beautiful experience. For sure, I would find hotels that
accomodate pets since many of these hotels, though very economical, are considered world-class in standards.
An overnight in those Cheap Alicante Hotels or just about any Cheap Spain Hotels with my pups would really be beautiful as I would see the beauty of the people and the culture with my own eyes. Sigh…Spain, someday I can really go there with my loved ones
For now, I would have to explore the different parts of my country first. Much can also be found here though world travel can really be as exciting as well.
When I finally decided to have a puppy at home, I was thinking what breed would be good for me and my family’s life style. I understand that different dog breeds have different needs in terms of food, environment, medical needs and hygiene issues. I wanted to have a dog that’s, first of all, lovable, charming, gentle and heart-warming.
I was thinking whether I will get a Pug, a Chihuahua or a Shih-Tzu. The pug came to my mind because a friend of mine was selling several pug puppies. Those Chihuahuas I saw in a dog competition one time were also so cute and adorable. Another were those Shih-Tzus I saw in the park carried by two kids.
I did a little research on these dog breeds just to make sure I’m ready to have one. A good resource for the Chihuahua breed was the Dog Channel, the website for dog lovers. Here, I learned that Chihuahuas can also be as tenacious and active as terriers. Also, just as any toy dog, Chihuahuas need as much care and gentleness as they can since their breeds are generally small and their body structure, quite soft and frail.
In general, as much as breeds have similarities in terms of mental, physical and environmental needs, they also have peculiarities that are highly important to any dog breeder or owner. These pets have to be taken cared well if one decides to get one. They will surely give you love and care as much as they feel it from the owner.
Dogs are becoming more and more popular, especially in the United States as a fashion accessory. Many animal rights activist have discord over such an activity. To most, it is cruel to use animals to add accent to one’s beauty or personality. When not in use, these dogs are simply put in the kennel and left there until another occasion arises and the dog accent is again needed.
Check out a San Diego Saturday night or a Las Vegas evening where parties and gimmicks are and for sure, you’ll see ladies in high status carrying their most valued living accessory dressed in a color similar to that of the owner. These are not new and have been going on for quite some time. But lately, the hype for dogs as fashion accessories is being promoted widely by well known public figures.
Personally, these acts really do not care much of the welfare of pet but more so of the owner that accents her style. I hope people would find more meaningful relationships with pets other than let them hang around like a scarf or a bracelet.
Painting dogs can be very rewarding, but also hard work as any dog lover will know it’s impossible to get a dog to sit still while you work on getting the perspective just right… But there are things you can do to make your life easier when painting a dog. Her are some of them.
Don’t Create Stress
Even the best-trained dog can’t stand still for hours (and it would be cruel to try), so don’t stress yourself by trying to get it to happen.
Get to Know Your Dog Breeds
Each dog breed has its own characteristics, whether it’s the short nose of a Pekingese or the curly hair of a Poodle. Get to know the basic shapes, proportions, and characteristics of specific breeds and it’ll make painting an individual dog easier.
Hair
Dog hair doesn’t only vary in length, color, and curliness, but it also grows in different directions on different parts of the body. This is visible even on the shortest-haired of dogs. The face is one region where there are several ‘changes’ in direction of hair.
Eye Colors
Most dogs have brown eyes, but of course not all browns are the same, nor uniform, so once again are sure to not to paint a generic eye color but to look closely at the specific color of that specific dog’s eyes. A good California artist could do it with no sweat.
Legs and Paws
Legs are the hardest thing to draw from life as if they’re not moving, they’re often hidden by the body. Reference photos are very useful for ensuring you get the legs ‘right’ in a running dog.
Give a Sense of Scale
If there’s nothing in the painting to compare the dog to, how does the viewer know how big or small it is? (Not everyone is a dog lover and immediately recognize the breed!) Put something in the painting to give a sense of perspective, whether it’s a ball, bone, water bowl, or shoe.
Canine Heartworm infestation has become a severe problem in Texas along with the rest of the United States. It’s a real and prevalent problem here in Texas. Heartworms (Dirofilaria immitus) are literally worms that invade a dog’s heart and lung vessels.
Heartworms are transmitted via female mosquitoes. The mosquito bites an infected dog and then harbors the parasite. When they bite another animal the parasite is transmitted to that animal. If the animal is not on heartworm preventative, infestation results. All dogs, regardless of breed or housing location (indoor or out, by water or not) are equally susceptible to this disease.
Heartworm disease represents a serious health risk to the animal. The worms interfere with the normal blood flow from the right side of the heart into the lungs. If left untreated they reduce the dogs quality of life, cause congestive heart failure, organ damage and ultimately death.
If your dog is diagnosed with heartworms, your pet can be treated. However, treatment is much more costly (up to 4-5 times the cost of a year’s supply of prevention) and difficult on the dog, than prevention. Current treatment methods consist of hospitalizing the dog and giving injections of an arsenical (arsenic) drug to kill the adult worms. A good practice is to review the pet hospital you would want to confine your pet just like looking for ratings for skilled nursing facilities. The injections are painful and the dog remains sore for awhile. Complications such as vomiting, failure to eat, drug reactions, blood clots in the lungs, etc. can arise but are fairly rare.
